Starbucks Coffee, Ground, Medium Roast, Costa Rica Tarrazu

Latin America. Tasting Notes: Elegant, tangy, refreshing. Batch roasting since 1971. The Flavor of Latin American Coffees: In Latin America, hundreds of years of coffee tradition have passed along the ritual of washing coffee beans free of their sticky, protective honey. This washing process imprints all of the coffee grown there with a crisp flavor and palate-cleansing acidity. 100% responsibly grown. Ethically traded. That means the coffee in this bag is helping to create a better future for farms and a more stable climate for the planet. Because we've always believed in a better cup of coffee. Only 3% of the coffee grown around the world is good enough to make it into a bag of Starbucks coffee. And it's always 100% arabica. On the rolling hills of Tarrazu, farmers plant the best arabica varietals and nourish the soil with mulch made from leaves of shade trees and the pulp of coffee cherries. At this high altitude, trees struggle in the cold, thin air, yielding fewer coffee cherries that take longer to mature. But their hardship is our reward. These smaller, denser, more complex beans result in a coffee with very high acidity, big, round body and juicy citrus notes. Enjoy with a bowl of strawberries and a panoramic view.
