An instigator of the craft beer revolution, our flagship has become New York City's hometown beer. Its firm center and generous dry-hopping celebrates the lagers brewed in Brooklyn before prohibition. Brooklyn Large is a direct descendant of the pre-Prohibition favorite Vienna larger style, displaying a firm malt center supported by refreshing bitterness and a floral dry-hopped. The Brooklyn Story: In the late 70s & early 80s, Steve Hindy was a war correspondent in the Middle East, where foreign diplomats in dry countries discreetly brewed their own beers. Inspired by their tasty beers, Steve later started homebrewing in Brooklyn with his neighbor, Tom Potter. In 1988, they quit their jobs to found The Brooklyn Brewery. Their goal was grand: return brewing to Brooklyn, once one of the brewing capitals of the world. Today, James Beard Award-winning Brewmaster Garrett Oliver & his team brew a vast portfolio of beers for every palate, from traditional styles to bold experiments. Brooklyn Brewery beers are found in more than half of the US & in 30 countries. In 2013, we opened our first sister brewery, Nya Carnegie, in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2015, we inaugurated a teaching brew house & beer curriculum at the famed Culinary Institute of America. We have at The Brooklyn Brewery are proud to be leaders in today's innovative & collaborative beer culture. Visit us in New York City. While in New York City, please plan to visit The Brooklyn Brewery and the Company Store. For news, info on beers, public hours, tours, & private events, visit BrooklynBrewery.com. Handcrafted ale. Purest ingredients. Finest quality. Family owned and operated. Fresh seal cap. In 1980, we created a beer highlighting the bold piney and citrus flavors of whole-cone Cascade hops. One might imagine this beer was named in historical reference to colonial-era shipments of hop-forward ale to East India, but it is really a much more recent (and humble) story. In 2004, the mad scientists were tasting the initial formulations during an epic video game marathon. Poured into a glass, the Bengali's golden orange hue - and stripes of white lacing left behind after hearty gulps - were reminiscent of a tiger. While we could suggest what food this beer pairs well with, or which glass to serve it in, the most important thing to remember is: even though we may take beer very seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously. It's mad science. Craft ales. Beer is culture. 69 IBU. 11 SRM. Ale. Est 2004. Got questions? Feedback? Want to vent? Hit us up. Beer for beasts. Please recycle. 6.5% alc. by vol. While gulping beers from tankards several stories underground in the ancient cellars of a medieval brewery in the Czech Republic, the seed of Sixpoint Crisp Lagers had taken root. Of course, the mad scientists had no desire to simply recreate that old-world flavor, but the experience itself had forever altered the vector of their formulating. When the mad scientists emerged from underground, the quest for a new formulation went from obsession to reality. What do you get when you fuse old-world craftsmanship with new, clean, and bold flavors from the right raw materials? The crisp. It's mad science. Crisp lagers. Beer is culture. 44 IBU. 5.9 SRM. Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.
Off-centered ales for off-centered people.
The continually-hopped, super fantastic India pale ale.
"The 60 minute IPA bottled real ale is nothing short of brilliant, one of the closest approximations of cask ale in a bottle that I've ever had the pleasure to lay lip to."
Lew Bryson, - Ale Street News.
Recipe:
Ingredients & directions for sampling exchange exampling & change.
The ingredients in our recipes come from the earth and the oven. They come from interfering and letting be.
We use organic and natural ingredients wherever possible and our recipes are blissfully inefficient.
We spend premium prices on the finest barley, hops & herbs.
We use no extracts.
For us, brewing is not a process of automation, but of imagination and passion.
We wrap our hands around plastic shovels to clean out mash tuns. We wrap our hands around sticky clumps of whole leaf hops and toss them into the boil kettle.
We wrap our hands around our work because we are proud to make something with our own hands.
We hope you enjoy drinking Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales as much as we enjoy making them.

American boldness, British manners. Brewed in New York. Plenty of IPAs will promise you the moon and the stars, looking to seduce you with words of smashing bitterness and hops everlasting. Actually, we're not here to blow you away with a lupulin cannon or strip the enamel off your teeth. East IPA is a clean, drinkable IPA that's packed with flavor and offers a bold balances, not a smack in the head. American hops soar in the bright piney aroma, while East Kent Golding hops bring the taste of stone fruits and firm bitterness from IPA's ancestral British home. Give our East IPA a try with some rich crab cakes or salmon, strike up a conversation with farmhouse cheddars, and find harmony alongside spicy dishes. East IPA's blend of tradition and exuberance sets the standard for hop-driven deliciousness. Beer Profile: Malts: 2-Row English Pale Ale, Wheat. Hops: East Kent Golding, Cascade, Willamette. Craft beer. Come as you are. New York established. This well-balanced English Pale Ale is known for its dark copper color and easy drinkability. Victory malts give this beer terrific toasty, nutty and biscuity flavors. What began in 2012 as a basement brewing operation among longtime friends, Montauk Brewing Company has grown to embody the spirit of the town. We delivered our first hand-filled kegs on bicycles to a couple of local bars. Although we have a sense of adventure and an active lifestyle, we are just as passionate about the simple pleasures in life. All of our beers honor this lifestyle. We invite you to come as you are and celebrate the no-frills good life with us at New York's Easternmost Brewery. The red brew-barn is just steps from the surf, right where it belongs. Short walk from the railroad station, steps from the Hampton Jitney stop. Our love of the ocean and the beach drove us to move away from plastic rings to more environmentally friendly cardboard packaging. We're doing our part, do yours and please recycle these cans. You could say it all started with a chance encounter in 2004 after a climactic photoshoot in the back seat of an Oldsmobile in an ancient, abandoned neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC called Red Hook. It seemed like the perfect spot to start a brewery even if it needed to be crammed into an 800-square-foot garage. Years went by, there was a fire, two hurricanes, and the cat got pregnant three times. Through all of the madness emerged an undefinable beer called Sweet Action; a beer that your brain cannot categorize but instead speaks directly to your palate. Our senses and intuition sometimes trump rational though. It's mad science. Craft ales. Beer is culture. 34 IBU. 13 SRM. Est 2004. Got questions? Feedback? Want to vent? Hit us up. Beer for beasts. IPA withy a solid malt backbone & hoppy flavor. Like Abe, we believe in freedom. Freedom from the notion that IPAs should only assail you with bitterness. And from the idea that a big, balanced, hoppy beer can't possibly come in a can. We believe that those who have tasted freedom shall forever brew free. Celebrating the right to be original. To us, the 21st Amendment means much more than just an end to prohibition. It means the right to brew beer, the freedom to be innovative, and the obligation to have fun. When we opened the 21st Amendment brewpub in San Francisco, we vowed to do things differently: Shaun O'Sullivan; Nico Freccia. Why cans? A Six-Pack of Good Reasons: 1. Cans use less energy to produce, to transport and to chill. 2. Cans are easier to recycle and recycled more often than glass. 3. Exposure to light ruins a good beer - cans keep the light out and the good in. 4. Cans are lined so they don't affect the flavor of the beer. 5. Feel that? Cans weigh less than glass. 6. Cans go where glass is banned - pool's, beaches, boats, gold courses, stadiums, parks. Some of our favorite beers never seem to make it out of the brewpub. Stop by next time you're in San Francisco's soma district and see what's on tap. 70 IBUs. 7% alc./vol.

A sorta dry, crisp, refreshing, not quite pale ale, there's never been anything else quite like no.9. 20 IBU. Established 1994. Vermont brewed. An orginal no. 9 is a sorta dry, crisp, refreshing ale whose mysterious and unusal palate will swirl across your tongue with subtle notes of fruit and a floral hop bitterness. Beyond that, we dare not tell you more, for with each sip, mysteries are revealed and still more questions raised. Why no. 9? Why indeed! Greetings!!! When in Vermont, come by and visit us at our brewery & the art factory. Welcome to the Magic Hat Brewing Company & Performing Arts Center, where the ancient ritual of brewing distinct and flavorful beers is a performance to behold. Redemption for the American Pilsner. Brewed in New York. Established in 1988. Pilsner has been the most popular lager style in the world since it burst forth from central Europe in the 1840s, but not all modern pilsners are created equal. Brooklyn Pilsner returns to its roots to create a snappy lager that would make its ancestors proud. European 2-row barley builds a lightly bready foundation and German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp bitterness and fresh floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures followed by a long lagering period, resulting in a beer with superior complexity and smoothness. We believe you will find there to be none finer. The Facts: Malts: German 2-Row. Hops: Hallertauer Mittlefrueh, Hallertauer Perles, Saaz, Vanguard. OG: 12 degrees Plato. The Brooklyn Story: Journalist Steve Hindy dodged bullets for six years in the Middle East in the late 1970s and 1980s. He returned to New York at the urging of his wife and two children in 1984 and settled in Brooklyn. Steve started brewing beer at home, a hobby he picked up in the Middle East from American diplomats working in strict Islamic countries where alcoholic beverages were forbidden. With his Brooklyn neighbor Tom Potter, he quit his job and started Brooklyn Brewery, the first successful brewery in Brooklyn since Schaefer and Rheingold closed in 1976. Today, Brooklyn beers are sold in over half the United States and more than 20 countries around the world. The Lager That Brooklyn Built: Brooklyn Lager is a direct descendant of the pre-Prohibition Vienna-style lager. Amber-gold in color, it has a firm malt center supported by refreshing bitterness and a floral dry-hopped aroma that gives way to smooth caramel malts in the finish. This wedding of British-inspired dry hopping and Viennese-style lager brewing results in a true American original: smooth, refreshing and very versatile with food. Whether this will be your first craft beer or your hundredth, you'll find Brooklyn Lager as robust and inviting as ever. - Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster. Since 1997. Brewed for us. Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founder's robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It's a lover, not a fighter. Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak. Love all doubt. Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them. Drink responsibly. They don't deserve founders in the clink. We don't brew beer for the masses. Instead, our beers our crafted for a chosen few, a small core of renegades and rebels who enjoy beer that pushes the limits of what is commonly accepted as taste. In short, we brew beer for people like us. Founders. Brewed for us. You can find official Founders Brewing Co. merchandise at foundersbrewing.com/store. No one can deny that the beer climate is changing. Unless, of course, you are one of those defiant beer climate change deniers, but we digress. Season(al)s creep, but the reality is the beer climate has always been changing. Change is constant, the season(al)s get all mixed up, and before you know it, we're all drinking holiday beers in July - how did we end up in this situation? Plenty of blame to go around for sure, but we're going to have to formulate our way out of this mess. Beer climates change, seasons creep, but the liquid must remain cyc. Hey man, it is all about the -ing formulation. Now that's mad science. Beer is culture. 70 IBU. 17 SRM. Est. 2004. Beer for beasts. Please recycle. sixpoint.com. http://globalwarmer.sixpoint.com. 70% alc by vol. Formulated by the mad scientists. Sixpoint Brewery, Brooklyn, New York.

A total commitment to freshness and flavor. Mosaic Session IPA, Brewed with Mosaic Hops, is an homage to Blue Point Brewing Company's storied history, a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997. As with all great mosaics, a lot of different pieces go into creating the big picture. For Blue Point, the first of those came together more than 15 years ago: two guys, one dog, a beat-up van, and a shared dream for crafting the beer that we like to drink. Next came a commitment to using only the finest malted barley and hops to brew our all-natural, unpasteurized portfolio of more than a dozen award-winning craft beers. But, the most-important piece in all of this is you. Our loyal customers have helped make Blue Point Brewery one of the fastest-growing and most-popular craft breweries in the United States. Become part of the Blue Point Brewery story. Let us know what you think of Mosaic Session IPA. Visit us at the Tasting Room in Patchogue, New York, and sidle up to a piece of Long Island Brewing history.

Ale brewed with spices. New York's original craft beer. Saranac White IPA is a tasty innovative twist on a traditional IPA. We've taken a delicious American IPA bursting with citra hops, and given it a whole new direction by adding the refreshing fruitiness of orange peel and coriander & the softening characters of wheat malt and oats. You'll notice the complex hop flavor you've come to expect in an IPA, balanced with the extraordinary bright flavor of a wheat beer. Cheers to twisting tradition. What a place. What a beer. At our family-owned brewery (New York state's oldest, in fact), we have a long tradition of taking pride in what we make. That's how we've quietly earned our reputation as one of the country's most respected brewers of specialty beers. Today, we still brew our beers to the same exacting standards established by our grandfather and great-grandfather more than a century ago. This is the proud tradition that inspired the Saranac family of beers. In each bottle of Saranac you can taste our commitment to quality and patient attention to detail that have been the signature of our brewery for four generations. We hope you enjoy Saranac, a beer crafted from the spirit of clear lakes, open skies, and breathtaking mountain vistas, and if you're even in our neck of the woods, be sure to drop by - and help us celebrate our third century of brewing excellence. You are obviously someone who appreciates the better things in life - like the exceptional quality and flavor of the Saranac family of beers. Description
You're not worthy. Arrogance (ar' o gans) n. The act or quality of being arrogant; haughty; undue assumption; overbearing conceit. Arrogant Bastard Ale: This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste of sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory - maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you're mouthing your words as you read this. The Brewery: Located in North County San Diego, we are a small, honest, brewery with unrealistically high, yet cantankerously unwavering, standards. We concentrate on creating the most satisfying, big character ales imaginable, by using only the finest natural ingredients. And lots of 'em! It's an approach that leaves many bewildered, but it works for us Arrogant Bastards, and we're the only ones that are worth satisfying. If you don't like this beer, keep it to yourself - we don't want to hear from any sniveling yellow-beer-drinkin' wimps, 'cause this beer wasn't made for you. 7.2% alc/vol.
